Welcome to
Ferry Meadows Railway
Your Journey

Starting from Ham Lane Station, you begin your journey across the park past the shop, cafe and children's play area and around the edge of Coney Meadow. Looking over to the right hand side you will see Overton Lake and maybe catch site of some visiting boats, or the new trip boat operated by PoshBoatz, giving the public trips around the lake and down the river. As we travel on, the track turns left and passes along a raised bank giving you a really good view of Lynch Lake with its islands of nesting birds and views across to Bluebell woods in the distance.

You are now half way on your journey to the Watersport Centre hiding in the trees ahead of us. As we pass through the gap in the trees you will see Gunwade Station and the end of the line, and if you look right you might see the Hydrosphere (Walk on Water) in the corner of Lynch lake, you can now get off the train to explore this end of the park and visit the Watersport Cafe and Hire Centre, if you are feeling fit you can hire a bicycle or a boat, or if you are brave enough how about a canoe?. Maybe you could just let the children play on the adventure playground before riding back to Ham Lane Station on the train.
